Chelsea vs Bournemouth once produced a moment that Stamford Bridge will never forget

Not much happened the last time Chelsea took on Bournemouth, which was only at the start of the month.

Chelsea travelled to the Vitality Stadium and drew 0-0 with Andoni Iraola’s men. Garnacho almost scored but could not convert in the end.

They play each other again on Tuesday, with Chelsea needing a win following their 2-1 loss to Aston Villa over the weekend.

What changes would you like to see Enzo Maresca make for the Bournemouth game? 🤔

Fofana coming in surely has to be one of them!

With that in mind, Chelsea fans will be hoping for a game like their one against Bournemouth in May 2024, as opposed to their recent draw at the Vitality.

Moises Caicedo’s halfway line screamer

That day, Chelsea were the victors, beating Bournemouth 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. Moises Caicedo played that afternoon and stole the headlines.

He scored one of the greatest goals in Premier League history after beating Bournemouth keeper Neto from the halfway line.

It was not a bad way to open up his account in a blue shirt! Unsurprisingly, Caicedo won Chelsea’s Goal of the Season award for that excellent strike.

The midfielder really enjoys playing against Bournemouth. On Tuesday, Caicedo will be looking for his fifth win over the Cherries, with the 24-year-old yet to lose a game to them.

However, considering the form that Chelsea are in right now, Iraola’s men will fancy their chances at the Bridge.

Moises Caicedo on Bournemouth goal

Caicedo will not score a better goal in his career. It is a moment that Chelsea supporters will never forget.

In an interview with Chelsea’s official club website after the game, Caicedo described his strike as “amazing”.

He said: “It was an amazing goal. I had the possibility to shoot and I did. It’s amazing and thanks to God for giving me the opportunity to score that amazing goal in the last game.

“I didn’t want to look for my teammates — I just wanted to try. It was a good season for us to get Europe and I’m happy to achieve this and for sure we will achieve next season as well.”

Hopefully the Ecuadorian can now inspire the Blues to another victory over Bournemouth. If not, questions are going to be asked.

Following his outburst after Chelsea’s win against Everton earlier this month, there has already been plenty of speculation about Maresca and his future. Another defeat on Tuesday will only add to that, so it is something that the Blues need to avoid.
