Ahead of their Monday matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves, head coach Billy Donovan told reporters that the big man sustained a sprained big toe.
There is no clear timetable yet, but Donovan expects that Collins will be back after a week.
Collins missed the first 21 games of the 2025-26 season after suffering a non-displaced fracture in his left wrist that required surgery. He's been limited to just 10 games this year, averaging 9.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
With Collins out, the Bulls will lean more towards star big man Nikola Vucevic and Jalen Smith in anchoring their middle.
Chicago will play New Orleans, Orlando, Charlotte and Boston across next week.
