As the Atlanta Hawks' interest in Anthony Davis has been fully exposed, Risacher was identified as a potential piece that could be dealt.

Recently, it was just reported that there is now an increased belief that the Hawks are more open to trading the French sensation, as he didn't live enough to their expectations since being drafted No. 1 overall in last year's NBA Draft.

In relation to this, Zach Lowe gave an intriguing insight about both sides.

“Even though Risacher has been a disappointment, he’s only 20, I think he'll be a decent rotation player. He'll be a good, starting-level player," the NBA expert said on his The Zach Lowe Show.

"But if you look at Alex Sarr, Reed Sheppard, and Stephon Castle — the next three picks — I don't think it's too early to say the Hawks made the wrong decision on that pick.”

Although he is averaging just 10.7 points and 2.9 boards in just his second year, it's definitely way too early to judge Risacher already. But as stated by Lowe, it's interesting how the rest of Risacher's draft peers have been progressing.

Alex Sarr has taken a huge leap with 18.2 points and 8.3 rebounds as Washington's centerpiece. Reigning Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle became even better for San Antonio while averaging 18.6 points and 7.0 assists, while Reed Sheppard has emerged promisingly despite not playing much last season with 13.4 points and 3.5 assists per game.

To be fair, Risacher has been settling into uncertain roles for the Hawks, as the team has been loaded with wings like Jalen Johnson, Dyson Daniels and Nickeil Alexander-Walker. But the lack of growth in his production makes Atlanta’s rumored desire to trade him even justified.

Everyone can only wait to see how the Hawks will ultimately decide their future with Risacher.
