Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo is closing in on a move to Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Manchester City.
Last week, Chelsea did show some interest in Semenyo, but that quickly cooled and it now looks like the 25-year-old will be joining City.
Before the January transfer window opens, though, Semenyo’s current club, Bournemouth, take on Chelsea.

Bournemouth hoping for Antoine Semenyo farewell appearance
Journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed on X that Bournemouth are expecting Semenyo’s transfer to City to be finalised within the next 48 hours.
However, according to Jacobs, the Cherries are still hoping that the Ghana international can make a farewell appearance against Chelsea at the Bridge.
That is bad news for the Blues, who are not in great form right now. They have won just one of their last six Premier League games.

Bournemouth are struggling themselves, but Semenyo has still impressed this season. In 17 league appearances, he has scored nine goals and provided three assists.
It is no surprise that Chelsea considered Semenyo, who is undoubtedly one of the best wide men in England at present.

Antoine Semenyo’s record against Chelsea
In the last campaign, Semenyo was able to score against Chelsea, netting in Bournemouth’s 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.
However, the former Bristol City player is yet to beat the Blues. He will be hoping that changes on Tuesday night in what could be his final game for Andoni Iraola’s side.

There is no doubt that Semenyo will be Bournemouth’s danger man and the player Chelsea need to watch out for.
As for the Club World Cup winners, with Cole Palmer fit again, he is obviously their biggest threat.
With that being said, the attacking midfielder has scored just one goal since returning from injury. Maresca will be hoping that he can add another against Bournemouth, as Chelsea desperately need a victory after losing to Aston Villa last weekend.
