It has been one of the most emotional years in Liverpool’s history, with the euphoric and poignant moments captured by talented photographers.
When January rolled around a year ago, few could have predicted what was to come at Anfield.
Liverpool won the Premier League title in Arne Slot‘s first season in charge – an incredible achievement that few anticipated.
Soon after, Diogo Jota‘s tragic death rocked the club, with the Portuguese’s passing still at the forefront of the minds of players and supporters as the year closes.
It has not always been easy, but we have our main image provider, Propaganda Photos, to thank for capturing the highs and lows with incredible professionalism, with the majority of this list owed to them.

In terms of the defining win of Liverpool’s title campaign, it’s hard to beat the 2-0 victory away to Brentford in January.
Darwin Nunez may have been a divisive figure at Anfield, but everybody adored him when he opened the scoring in stoppage time, and then scored again minutes later.
Special scenes followed, both on the pitch and in the away end!
Diogo Jota wins the derby for the Reds

It was fitting that Jota’s final goal for Liverpool was such an important one.
The Portuguese weaved through tackles before burying a finish at home to Everton in April, settling the Merseyside derby in the process.
It was pure Jota at his finest, full of heart and ruthlessness. His celebration spoke volumes, one we will never forget.

Trent Alexander-Arnold isn’t loved like he once was at Liverpool, but his winner at Leicester in April – his last for the club – was memorable, not least for the relief it delivered.
All a bit weird though, wasn’t it.
Macca takes the roof off Anfield

Apart from Nunez at Brentford, no Liverpool goal in 2025 was celebrated as much as Alexis Mac Allister‘s at home to Tottenham.
The Argentine’s stunning strike put the Reds 2-1 up on the day they clinched the title, and he celebrated in style. The sound of Anfield after that goal won’t be forgotten in a hurry.

On May 25, 2025, Virgil van Dijk became just the 11th man in history to captain Liverpool to a league title.
The Dutchman got his glorious moment on the final day of the season, hoisting the trophy aloft, amid scenes of unbridled joy.

Seeing Liverpool legend Alan Hansen hand over the Premier League title to Van Dijk in May was a lovely moment.
The Scot had overcome serious health issues to be there, as one of the Reds’ greatest-ever defenders joked with another.

Ngumoha stuns Newcastle in stoppage time

The standout goal of this season to date was Rio Ngumoha‘s last-gasp winner away to Newcastle in August.
Just when it looked like Liverpool had thrown away two points, the then 16-year-old was on hand to score in the 99th minute.
It made him Ngumoha the youngest goalscorer in Reds history.
