Chelsea take on Bournemouth today looking to regain their position in the top four.

The Blues were knocked out of the Champions League places at the weekend after their 2-1 home defeat by Aston Villa.

Ollie Watkins struck twice off the bench to leave the Villans 10 points clear of the west Londoners, with Unai Emery’s side sat pretty in third place.

It gave Liverpool the advantage, with the Reds back in the swing of things under Arne Slot after their slump earlier in the campaign.

Their 2-0 win over Brighton meant that they leapfrogged Enzo Maresca’s side into fourth, and they are now three points clear of Chelsea.

Maresca’s men are out to return to winning ways here after two matches without a victory, following their 2-2 draw at Newcastle and the defeat by Villa.

They take on Manchester City next, followed by a trip to Fulham.
