Draymond agreed with the coach, saying their current goal is to extend what they’ve built for as long as possible, noting that every dynasty is destined to come to an end.
“It’s true. Guess what, Steph is in year 17. I’m in year 14. Klay is in year 15. When you talk about the dynasty… How long can we extend it, and what more can we do? That’s the goal. That’s our mission," he said on The Draymond Green Show.
Earlier last week during a press conference, Steve Kerr gave an honest assessment of the Warriors’ current state, saying they need to recognize that they are no longer the dominant team they once were.
“Most important thing for me is for guys to recognize that there’s beauty in the struggle… We are no longer the ’17 Warriors dominating the league. We are a fading dynasty," Kerr said.
The Warriors still look like a team that can make some noise in the postseason, although they have a long way to go in the regular season.
They are currently sitting eighth in the Western Conference after more than a third of the season, holding a 17–16 record through 33 games.
