Lisa Moorish has shared an adorable update as her grandson was gifted a Liverpool FC kit for Christmas, bearing the former number of his dad. Former Liverpool centre back Nat Phillips, who now plays for Championship side West Brom, confirmed his romance with Liam Gallagher's daughter in 2022, when Molly Moorish shared a picture of the pair on Instagram.

The two now share a son together, with Molly announcing the arrival of her baby boy, Rudy, on October 11, with a snap of her footballer boyfriend holding their baby. An Instagram post was captioned: "A message to you, Rudy."

Molly is the Oasis frontman's daughter from his relationship with singer Lisa Moorish. Wonderwall singer Liam became a dad for the first time in March 1998, after Lisa fell pregnant with daughter Molly just two months into the singer's marriage to Patsy Kensit.

In Lisa's latest family update, she captioned a post: "This one's for you Dad. Mor Mor asked Santa to bring Rudy Bear a LFC kit for Christmas, and he delivered! And his dad's number when he was at LFC no.47

"He has a few football shirts from all of us. May the best team win when he's old enough to choose one of them." Liam had reacted to the news of his daughter's pregnancy earlier this year by posting a clip of Clive Dunn's 1970 song Grandad on social media site X.

After the post of the proud nan holding her grandson wearing his Liverpool top was uploaded, supportive comments were sent to the couple. One fan said: "So adorable! Merry Christmas you legend" and another added: "There is only one choice. Rudy will know quickly! #YNWA."

Further replies included: "The beautiful smile on your face says it all" and "Awww! Great choice Lisa, I’m sure your dad would be made up."

Molly did not meet her dad until she was 20 but previously explained that she didn't feel "anger" about growing up without her dad's presence in her life.

She told The Sunday Times newspaper in 2019: "I don’t have any anger. I'm 21 now. I’m actually thankful for how I was brought up with my mum and how my life's been."

She is also close with her half-siblings Gene and Lennon Gallagher, and her cousin Anais Gallagher. The cousins were pictured posing together at a Burberry show during London Fashion Week in September 2024.

Phillips played an important part in Liverpool's resurgence to secure a Champions League spot in 2021 as he filled in during the Reds' centre-half crisis. Molly's dad is a huge Manchester City fan, but it appears as though the former Liverpool FC defender has well and truly been welcomed by the family.

Phillips arrived at the club's Academy set-up in 2016 on the back of a trial, and would go on to make 29 senior appearances. His debut came in January 2020 when he temporarily returned from a loan spell at VfB Stuttgart to play in an FA Cup victory over Everton at Anfield, before returning to Germany.

The defender was then hugely important as he stepped up to play 20 times in the next campaign and help Jurgen Klopp's injury-affected Liverpool secure third place and Champions League qualification.

Phillips eventually said a final farewell to the club when a permanent move to West Bromwich Albion was announced in June 2025.
