Brenden Aaronson has hailed Dominic Calvert-Lewin's off-field impact - highlighting one specific moment which really made an impression on the Leeds United squad.
Across the top-five European divisions, no-one has fared better than Calvert-Lewin with seven goals in his last six games - Harry Kane and Stuttgart attacker Deniz Undav are the only strikers to match this feat.
His scoring streak started with his prod that sparked the initial comeback against Man City a month ago. The half-time substitute ended a seven-game barren run by finding the net just after the break - and then what he did just minutes earlier in the dressing room impressed teammates.
"I'll never forget against Man City at half-time, he was the guy at half-time that was laying into everybody, like getting everybody going, that type of thing," Aaronson explained to reporters after Sunday's game at Sunderland. "And that's just the kind of character is, he always wants the best for everybody."
He added: "I can't speak enough about Dom. I think, first of all, he's a fantastic character. I think he's someone that you bring into a club, also because of the kind of guy he is. He always wants more.
"He's a guy that's always in training talking, after bad games, he's there. I can't speak enough about him, really happy that he's playing the way he's playing to get the goals."
Aaronson - who won player of the match against Sunderland after grabbing the assist for Calvert-Lewin - has revived his own form across recent weeks. Besides his two assists in four games, the American's hard work and productivity has earned praise.
"This is some of the best football that I've been playing this season," Aaronson stated.
"I'm at the highest level. I'm at the pinnacle of the Premier League, week in and week out.
"I mean, maybe from the outside, it might not look like every game is, you know, really, really good.
"But I think for me, the level that I'm playing at, I think levels to my games that have gotten much bigger, which is the ball retention and stuff like that, being able to hold off guys. It's at a high level right now."
