Liverpool’s growing interest in Kenan Yildiz has prompted Juventus to accelerate talks over a new contract, as the Serie A giants look to shut down the possibility of a Premier League approach.
Reports earlier this month suggested the Reds had emerged as genuine contenders in the race for the 20-year-old, increasing pressure on Juventus amid stalled negotiations.
Yildiz’s future had been the subject of mounting speculation after talks over a new deal failed to progress smoothly. Wage demands were a clear issue, and the longer the situation dragged on, the more opportunity it created for elite clubs to explore a move. Liverpool’s monitoring of the Turkey international has now sharpened Juventus’ focus, with the club keen to avoid a scenario where outside interest dictates the timeline.
Liverpool Push for Kenan YildizKenan Yildiz
According to Tuttosport, Liverpool have tracked Yildiz closely over recent months, alongside Arsenal, prompting Juventus to move “full speed ahead” with renewal talks.
The report claims phone calls from Liverpool have arrived for Yildiz, who has been tipped as a future Ballon d'Or winner, in recent weeks, adding urgency to the situation. Juventus are said to be increasingly wary of allowing the forward’s contract situation to linger, particularly with Premier League clubs known for acting decisively once an opportunity opens.
As a result, Juventus are now prepared to significantly improve their offer in an effort to convince Yildiz to commit his long-term future to the club.
TuttoSport reports Juventus are now ready to offer Yildiz a new contract worth €6m per season (£200,000-a-week). That represents a clear jump from their previous €4.5m proposal and reflects the club’s determination to fend off Liverpool interest.
Beyond wages, Juventus are also willing to include additional bonuses in the package. Those bonuses are aimed at satisfying the player’s camp, including his father, who acts as his agent, and are viewed internally as a key breakthrough point in negotiations.
With the revised structure now on the table, Juventus expect Yildiz to sign a new deal running until 2031, securing a player they see as central to their long-term project.
Liverpool Hold Long-Term Yildiz Interest

Even if Juventus succeed in finalising a renewal, Liverpool’s interest is unlikely to disappear entirely. The Reds are known for maintaining long-term files on emerging talent, particularly attackers who fit their age and development profile.
Yildiz’s performances and trajectory have clearly placed him on Liverpool’s radar, and while an immediate move now appears unlikely, the club will continue to monitor his situation closely. Should circumstances change in the future, his name is unlikely to be far from Liverpool’s thinking.
For now, Juventus appears to have reacted decisively to Liverpool’s interest — and may have done enough to keep control of the situation, but this is one to keep an eye on in the coming months.
