Arsenal and Chelsea have been encouraged to make bids for Marseille youngster Robinio Vaz. The French side are open to a deal in the January transfer window.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who cover the striker today. They say Marseille are open to interesting offers despite a promising start at the club.
FM report that Vaz is one of three players who could be allowed to leave in January. The others are Darryl Bakola and Angel Gomes.
According to their information, while Robinio Vaz is considered a super-sub by Roberto de Zerbi and has impressed this season, that does not make him unsellable. In fact, he has been playing less under the Italian of late. And that means a sale is more than possible.
The French side would be happy to do a deal for the powerful striker if an ‘attractive’ offer were to come in. They say Vaz is being monitored by clubs in England and Germany.
That tallies with a recent report from Africa Foot which stated Arsenal and Chelsea were among the clubs looking at Vaz. In fact, Chelsea were named as ‘most active’ and had already spoken to the player’s representatives.
They were even ‘continuing to push’ after Marseille put a €16m asking price on their man. Now the French side appear to be dangling the hook looking for a bite. Whether Chelsea, Arsenal or any of the other suitors do so remains to be seen.
