Joel Embiid questionable for Sixers-Grizzlies on Tuesday; updates provided on Kelly Oubre Jr. and Trendon Watford

Joel Embiid is questionable to suit up for the Sixers when their road trip continues on Tuesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies with two injury listings, according to the team's injury report for the game:

Player Injury Status

Joel Embiid right ankle sprain; right knee injury management QUESTIONABLE

Kelly Oubre Jr. left knee sprain OUT

Trendon Watford left adductor strain OUT

Embiid's right ankle sprain first appeared on the injury report when he was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. According to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reporting from Oklahoma City, Sixers head coach Nick Nurse said before the contest tipped off that the ankle issue is what held Embiid out of that game, not the right knee issue which has once again taken center stage.

On Monday afternoon, the Sixers issued updates on Kelly Oubre Jr. and Trendon Watford. Oubre has been out for more than six weeks with an LCL sprain in his left knee, while Watford just surpassed a month on the shelf due to his adductor issue. Both players might finally be trending in positive directions.

"Kelly Oubre Jr. and Trendon Watford are continuing to progress and, beginning with today's practice, are being reintegrated into team activities," the Sixers' update read. "Further updates on their progress will be provided as appropriate."

Meanwhile, if any team in the NBA has suffered worse injury luck in recent years than the Sixers, it is the Grizzlies, who have seven players already ruled out for this game due to various ailments with multiple other players listed on their injury report.
