Brentford and Chelsea providing competition for player–Bees interested for a while

Brentford and Chelsea are providing competition to HSV Hamburg for Borussia Dortmund youngster Almugera Kabar.

That’s according to BILD. They cover the striker today and say Brentford and Chelsea are very much in the picture for the 19-year-old.

The newspaper explains that while HSV are focused on a new striker, they’re also looking at strengthening other areas in the January transfer window. One of those could be left-back.

Kabar has come into focus and HSV are interested. They’ve already been in contact about a potential transfer. The feeling is that there’s a deal there to be done as Kabar is currently out of the picture under Niko Kovac, who prefers more experienced options in his squad.

A decisive factor in his transfer considerations is likely to be the prospect of playing time, whether in the Bundesliga or Premier League. In the latter, Brentford and Chelsea are offering competition to HSV.

But the German side might have an advantage in that they can almost guarantee playing time. Brentford and Chelsea may not be able to offer the same. That’s led to a feeling that the offer from Hamburg might have a real chance of success. The Premier League duo are in the mix, though.

In fact, the Bees have been noted as suitors since September. It appears that interest hasn’t dwindled since then.
