Saudi interest in Mohamed Salah cools: According to The i Paper, the Saudi Pro League’s pursuit of Mohamed Salah has lost momentum. Speculation regarding a move to the Middle East intensified after Salah’s recent comments following his benching against Leeds, but Saudi officials have reportedly noted how the situation has since been reconciled.
Liverpool lead Joel Ordonez race: As per BOLAVIP, Liverpool have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Joel Ordonez during the winter transfer window. While Chelsea have reportedly withdrawn from negotiations, despite the Ecuador international previously prioritising a move to Stamford Bridge, Inter Milan also continue to monitor the Club Brugge defender’s situation.
Spurs rival Reds for Yan Diomande: According to BBC Sport, Tottenham Hotspur have registered an interest in RB Leipzig’s teenage winger Yan Diomande, a player also linked with Liverpool. James McConnell Ajax loan to be cut short: According to Voetbal International, Ajax are set to terminate the loan of James McConnell, with the midfielder expected to return to Liverpool. The 20-year-old has struggled for game time in Amsterdam, failing to feature since the sacking of John Heitinga in early November.
Manchester City set to beat Liverpool to Semenyo: The Liverpool ECHO understand that Antoine Semenyo is widely expected to join Manchester City early next month. Despite interest from Anfield, sources at both Liverpool and Bournemouth believe the 25-year-old will head to the Etihad to play under Pep Guardiola.
Real Madrid eye Marc Guehi swoop: As per AS, Real Madrid have been monitoring Marc Guehi’s recent performances for Crystal Palace and are considering a move for the England defender.
