Mark Cuban and his basketball team the Dallas Mavericks defeated a fraud lawsuit by cryptocurrency investors who used a failed platform app manufactured by Voyager Digital LLC.
The investors didn’t plead a sufficient connection between Florida and the promotion of the Voyager Platform by Cuban and his team, Judge Roy K. Altman of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida said Tuesday.
Voyager was a popular cryptocurrency investment platform that in 2021 held over $5 billion in assets and had nearly 3.5 million investors. It filed for bankruptcy in July 2022.
