Chelsea drew 2-2 with Bournemouth tonight, making it one win in 7 for the Blues. That’s a dreadful record, and given the tension around Stamford Bridge after the capitulation against Aston Villa at the weekend, we were expecting a bad reaction at full time.
We got one. It wasn’t vicious, but it was distinct.

“More boos. No huge surprise – one win in seven now. Chelsea made to pay for a first half lacking any semblance of defensive discipline,” wrote Sky Sports’ Ron Walker, who was in the stadium.
He followed up with more information later on:
“‘Seven points out of 21’ says one especially frustrated Chelsea fan on his way past the press box, as Maresca heads down the tunnel on his own, head down.
“The players, at least, are afforded some applause from the stands. Clear where the frustration lies around Stamford Bridge this evening.”
You can hear the booing in the video from our own writer, Charlie Patrick, who was at Stamford Bridge this evening:
Chelsea booed off to finish 2025!!
Another terrible performance defined by shocking defending and poor quality infront of goal!
One win in seven and Man City on Sunday!!

There was already some minor grumbling from the supporters when Cole Palmer was taken off after an hour, although at that point they were still hopeful we would find a winner.
The even worse news is that we face Man City at the weekend. Fail to win that and it’s 1 in 8, and things will really be creaking.
In other news…
Estevao was the bright spark for Chelsea in this game, electric dribbling and taking on defenders and by far our most threatening player.
The two goals in this game for Chelsea came from Cole Palmer (who scored a penalty after an Estevao dribble) and Enzo Fernandez, who drilled one into the top corner from the edge of the box.
