The Sacramento Kings are back in action against the Los Angeles Clippers tonight with an ungodly 11 PM ET tipoff. Sorry to my fellow east coast Kings fans, this is going to be a tough one.

Who: Sacramento Kings (8-24) vs. Los Angeles Clippers (10-21)

Where: Intuit Dome, Inglewood, CA

When: 8:00 PM PT / 11:00 PM ET

Watch: NBCSCA / League Pass

If there is a single NBA team having a more dysfunctional clusterf*** season than the Sacramento Kings, it’s the Los Angeles Clippers! Welcome to the mud.

Considering this is a relatively meaningless game of basketball, the biggest storyline heading into tonight is the return of Keegan Murray. Murray missed the last two games with a calf injury, and in his absence Keon Ellis was finally awarded a starting position. Keon played great in a win against the Mavericks, and pretty terrible in a loss to the Lakers, so we’ll see how Doug Christie manages the rotation tonight.

Personally I’d love to see Ellis remain with the starting unit and move Precious Achiuwa to the bench. I’m skeptical that this will be the case because the Kings appear obligated to bury Ellis on the bench whenever an opportunity presents itself, but one new wrinkle has supplied me with some hope: Dylan Cardwell is listed as out, meaning the Kings are lighter than normal in the frontcourt. Starting Keon and using Achiuwa as the primary reserve forward makes some sense, but we shall see.

Prediction: Kings 118, Clippers 109
