Mikel Arteta has insisted Arsenal must be “actively looking” at the January transfer window to add to his squad in order to keep up their amazing start to the season and their bid to win that Premier League title for the first time since 2004.
ARSENAL spent more than £250million in the summer, bringing in the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze, Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera giving them impressive defensive options.
Arsenal now look like the side most likely to win that Premier League title this season, although Manchester City have been looking very impressive this season too and are keeping the pace with Mikel Arteta’s side.
But with Ben White and Mosquera are currently on the sidelines, and Gabriel is only just returning, and Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori both missed the win over Brighton on Saturday, Arteta needs to delve into that transfer kitty this window.
Now, the Spaniard has opened up and confirmed that ARSENAL are actively looking at players this transfer window: “Depending on the availability of certain players,” Arteta said.
“So the window is there. I mean, we’re Arsenal and we have to be looking at it: ‘OK, what do we need?’
“And we have to be actively looking. Then can we do it or not, that’s a different story, but our job is to be always very prepared because something can happen. So hopefully very positive.”

Look, that ARSENAL squad is one of the best in the Premier League, Arteta has so much quality in that side, but a few injuries here and there, and that brilliant start to the season could be ruined, it is smart to add some players to the side.
Liverpool, Man City, Man United and Chelsea will be signing some body this transfer window, it makes sense that Arsenal keep adding to the side and keep the squad working to stay in the side.
