Hello and welcome to the latest Arsenal transfer news live blog. football.london will keep you up to date with all the latest reports and rumours during the winter transfer window.
Arsenal ended 2025 on a high with a 4-1 win over Aston Villa to finish the year five points clear at the top of the Premier League table. Manchester City, however, can start 2026 by cutting that gap to two when they play Sunderland on New Year's Day.
By the time that match kicks off at the Stadium of Light, the January transfer window will be open, but it does not seem that City will have signed Antoine Semenyo by then. The confessed Arsenal fan has "definitely not" played his last game for Bournemouth yet, who the Gunners face on Saturday, according to their head coach Andoni Iraola.
Semenyo reportedly wants his future resolved by January 1, but it seemingly will not be sorted until at least after this weekend's match. The forward would appear to favour Arsenal, who appreciate Semenyo, but the Gunners were only interested in a summer move rather than doing a deal this winter.
Arsenal are one club credited with an interest in Scott McTominay, with his former employers, Manchester United, being another. Any move appears more likely in the summer, though.
