When Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is healthy and on the floor, fans can always expect a highlight.
The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player is back to adding to his highlight reel after returning from a calf injury, and among his latest stunning moves happened early in Monday’s road game against the Charlotte Hornets at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Around four minutes into the first quarter, Antetokounmpo attacked the Hornets’ defense, using a sick spin move in the shaded area before finishing with a two-handed throwdown. It took just some steps from Antetokounmpo to get from behind the 3-point line to his launch pad in the paint.
There are not a lot of players of Antetokounmpo’s size who could pull off such a move in traffic. Then again, that’s also what makes him such a special basketball specimen.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is getting his groove back after calf injury
Antetokounmpo, who just turned 31 years old on Dec. 6, also scored 24 points on 11/16 shooting from the floor against the Hornets, helping the Bucks secure a 123-113 victory. He added seven assists, four rebounds and a steal in 25 minutes of action.
It appears that Antetokounmpo remains on a minute restriction, as he’s not played more than 25 minutes in the two games he appeared in since returning to action. In the previous Milwaukee outing, he had 29 points on 10/15 shooting from the field with eight rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal, also in just 15 minutes of duty.
Antetokounmpo and the Bucks will play one more game before 2025 ends this Wednesday night against the visiting Washington Wizards at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
