Arsenal defender Gabriel appeared to mock Amadou Onana after Arsenal’s win over Aston Villa on Tuesday night.

The Brazilian centre-back opened the scoring at the Emirates Stadium, beating Emi Martinez in an aerial contest before knocking the ball into the back of the net.

Villa had contained their hosts well in the first half but came undone from the first corner they conceded in the game, early in the second half.

Missing the likes of Matty Cash, Boubacar Kamara, Tyrone Mings, and Pau Torres, Villa’s task against the Premier League leaders became even harder when Onana came off at half-time due to an injury.

The Belgian enjoyed an excellent first half and is also an important player for Villa on set-pieces in both boxes.

Martin Zubimendi then doubled Arsenal’s lead shortly after, before Leandro Trossard added a third after the hour mark. Moments after coming on, Gabriel Jesus made it 4–0, though Ollie Watkins scored a late consolation goal, tapping in from close range following some neat work from Donyell Malen.

After full-time, Arsenal’s celebrations in the tunnel were captured by their media team, and Gabriel appeared to mimic Onana’s trademark celebration.

Having won 11 matches in a row, Villa fans have enjoyed watching their Belgian midfielder count to three, put his hand in his pocket, and then zip it up - symbolising “three points in the bag.”

Gabriel, however, clearly didn’t take it well after Villa’s late win at Arsenal earlier this month, as he chose to copy Onana’s celebration on Tuesday night following the Gunners’ 4–1 victory.
