Federico Chiesa wanted by two Serie A giants

Expect to see a lot of stories on Federico Chiesa in the coming weeks.

Ever since he joined Liverpool, it seems that there have been more reports of him leaving than anything else.

This is despite Chiesa typically giving a swashbuckling performance when he comes onto the pitch for The Reds.

Unfortunately for the Italy international, it seems that head coach Arne Slot sees him more as an impact sub than a genuine first team player.

In a year that features the FIFA World Cup, that role might push Federico Chiesa further out of the door than usual.

And a return to Italy is what’s been mostly discussed in the media.

Just recently, reports from Italy stated that Juventus want to re-sign Federico Chiesa on loan in the January window.

More reports have now emerged that name a second club in the running to sign the Liverpool forward.

Italian journalist Paolo Paganini has named Napoli as another club in the mix to sign Federico Chiesa.

Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, Paganini mentions both Juventus and Napoli wanting the player.

“Juventus are there, but so are Napoli.

“Napoli’s priority is the midfield, but Lang’s situation needs to be evaluated; he wants more space and could leave.

“The same goes for Lukaku and Lucca. Lucca’s situation is unusual, a major investment that needs to be redeemed.

“Chiesa? Everything points to him going to Juve if he leaves, but Conte and Manna respect him”.

Paolo Paganini seems to be placing Juventus as favourites, but Napoli could emerge as a serious contender if some of their other attackers leave.

It seems to be the case that Italian clubs are keen on Federico Chiesa as a potential replacement for other attackers not performing.

January could be an interesting period for the future of the Italian.
