After some worrying injury scenarios circulated on social media, Jokic seems to have escaped with a relatively minor issue, as tests confirmed that the three-time NBA MVP’s knee ligaments are intact and he was diagnosed with a hyperextension in his left knee.

Nikola Jokic’s agent, Misko Raznatovic, shared his thoughts following the concerning situation surrounding his client.

Speaking to TV Arena Sport, Raznatovic expressed relief that Jokic would only be sidelined for three to four weeks, noting that everyone was aware it could have been much worse.

“We exchanged a few messages,” he said via Mozzart Sport. “It’s good that it’s not the worst knee injury. It’s not the ligaments, but a hyperextension, and he is expected to return to play relatively soon, in three or four weeks. Of course, you never really know. He’s in good spirits and aware that it could have been much worse.”

Denver is already navigating significant injury challenges, with starters Christian Braun (ankle), Aaron Gordon (hamstring), and Cam Johnson (knee) sidelined.

Despite the setbacks, the Nuggets (22–10) have started the 2025–26 season strong, thanks largely to Jokic’s dominance. He is averaging 29.9 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 11.1 assists per game in what is shaping up to be another historic campaign.
