One constant every year is that our club photographers will be well-positioned - come rain or shine - to get some great pictures of our players in action, and 2025 has been no different.

Club stalwart Stuart MacFarlane has followed our men's team up and down the country, across Europe and around the globe over the past 12 months to bring our supporters closer to the squad than ever before, while always being a presence at the Sobha Realty Training Centre to provide all the behind-the-scenes coverage.

Here, he's flicked through his albums to pick the best images he's shot of our men's team this year, and explain why these snaps made it into his top 20 photos of the year:

stu pics of 2025

1: Declan Rice celebrates his second goal against Real Madrid. One of my favourite moments from last season, my working position at the North Bank was the perfect position to capture this.2: Martin Odegaard gives a team talk prior to the match against Newcastle United. This is always a tricky shot to get, as I don’t want to intrude on the last-minute instructions from the captain.3: Martin Zubimendi undergoing his medical. It's great to be able to capture images like these, and it always amazes me how detailed player medicals are.4: Martin after signing his contract. Studio signing images are the first time new players wear our kit, which is a brilliant moment for them and their families.5: A happy Gabriel arrives at the team hotel in Spain during pre-season, it's great when you can capture the personality of the players.6: Mikel talks to his players and staff after a training session in Spain. It’s a privilege for me to capture private moments, and luckily our cameras are silent so they don’t distract the players or staff.7: Jurrien Timber waits to start an interview in the team hotel in Hong Kong during pre-season.8: A lovely silhouette of William Saliba during training. William has a great profile, and the out-of-focus net really makes the picture.9: Gabriel Martinelli celebrates against Manchester City. This is a picture from a remote camera, and it's fantastic to capture players and supporters celebrating together.10: Big Gabi celebrates scoring against Newcastle - it was a brilliant last-minute winner and I love the expressions on the players' faces.11: A shot from a remote camera set up on the roof of the stadium, a few hours before kick-off of our Champions League game against Olympicos. You get such a wonderful view from there.12: Mikel Arteta, Max Dowman, Declan Rice, Riccardo Calafiori, Jurrien Timber, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Zubimendi enjoy some fun at training before the serious stuff starts.13: A silhouette of Bukayo Saka in the lovely winter sunlight during training.14: The fantastic tifo from the north London derby. The fireworks really made this picture and set the tone for the game.15: Ebere Eze celebrates scoring the second of his derby day hat-trick, and knelt in the perfect spot for me to get his classic celebration.16: Jurrien celebrates scoring against Bayern Munich. A lovely celebration from a massive game, and it's always brilliant when this happens in front of me.

17: In the same game, Noni Madueke celebrates netting his first Gunners goal. A great moment for Noni, you can see he's full of emotion.

18: The slow shutter speed on the camera shows the speed and movement of Ebere in training.19: Martin Odegaard arrives at Emirates Stadium before the match against Wolves. This has great lighting and the low-angle shot shows Martin's focus.

20: I changed my working position for the second half of the Carabao Cup win against Crystal Palace, and it worked out perfectly. I shot the celebration wider than normal to include more of the stadium, which created a lovely atmosphere in the picture.
