Milwaukee Bucks: Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Top 5 Games vs Wizards

The Milwaukee Bucks are 13-19 on the season, far below where they expected to be when they revamped their roster around Giannis Antetokounmpo earlier this summer. Of course, their playing without Giannis in 13 of their 32 games thus far has not helped. And if the national NBA media had it their way, the Bucks would never play with Giannis again.

As it is, though, Giannis is still in Milwaukee and they are preparing to face the Washington Wizards and their old friend, Khris Middleton, on Wednesday night.

Of course, the Bucks will hope to continue their winning ways as they have come out victorious in their last two games. In order for that to happen, they will obviously be hoping for another stellar performance from their two-time MVP, who has had great performances against Washington in the past.

The year that Giannis Antetokounmpo won the NBA’s Most Improved Player of the Year Award saw him have many special performances. One of those was in this game. Giannis scored 39 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out six assists. He was 12-19 from the floor (0-1 from three) and 15-17 from the free throw line.

Jabari Parker had 21 points and eight rebounds for the Bucks as well. Greg Monroe had a double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds) off of the bench.

In this contest, Giannis Antetokounmpo had 43 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals as the Bucks steamrolled the Wizards. Giannis and the Bucks used a 50-point first quarter to put the game out of reach early. The eventual MVP shot 17-21 from the floor (3-3 from three), but was just 6-11 from the free throw line.

Now, if a 43-point game is just number four on this list, you know the next three are going to be out of this world.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 33 points led all Bucks scorers, seven of whom got to double-figures. However, what stood Giannis apart from every was that in addition to those 33 points, he had 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Not only that, but he added a steal and a block on defense.

He also added two blocks. Giannis was efficient as ever from the floor, shooting 14-21 overall and was a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line.
