Liverpool Leeds United
Leeds United and Liverpool will clash again after delivering one of the more entertaining games in the Premier League earlier this season. Both sides are in great form, and it will be difficult to decide a winner on Thursday.
Arne Slot has managed to steer his side on track after an awful losing run; the Reds are now unbeaten in their last five games and have won three straight league games since.

Daniel Farke has also managed to turn his side’s fortunes around; since the loss to Manchester City, something has clicked in this Leeds team. The Whites have managed to string together a five-game unbeaten run and are distancing themselves from the relegation zone.
Graham Smyth gives verdict on Liverpool Leeds United game
Ahead of Thursday’s game, Graham Smyth is giving Leeds a huge chance of causing an upset at Anfield. He believes that the Whites’ set piece prowess could be enough to topple Arne Slot’s side:
“I think you can expect Leeds to turn up and compete against Liverpool.” he said on the Inside Elland Road podcast.
“I certainly think they’ll be going to Liverpool absolutely full of confidence thinking we can compete with them, we can make life difficult, we can get chances.
“We can cause them untold misery from set-pieces. That’s an area I would definitely be targeting in a big, big way if I was Leeds.”

Losing Joe Rodon is going to be a huge blow
Leeds managed to get a draw away to Sunderland, but they suffered a massive blow. Joe Rodon has been ruled out for the next couple of weeks with an ankle injury. His absence will be huge in that backline. Farke has already hinted that the likes of Sebastiaan Bornauw, James Justin and Sam Byram could fill in the back three.
But Rodon provides so much for that defensive unit – his ball carrying and ball playing ability help the team so much in the build up. During set pieces, he is also a huge goal threat. Missing these two key aspects in a game against a club like Liverpool will be a very big loss.
