The Denver Nuggets are on the road on Wednesday night as they travel to take on the Toronto Raptors in an interconference showdown.

Denver enters Wednesday’s game with a 22-10 record after losing on the road to the Miami Heat on Monday night.

In Monday’s loss to the Heat, Nikola Jokic led the way for the Nuggets as he recorded 21 points, five rebounds and eight assists before leaving the game with an injury while Jamal Murray added 20 points, six rebounds and 11 assists of his own.

Now Denver will try to bounce back on Wednesday as they face off against the Raptors in a tough road matchup.

On the other side, Toronto enters Wednesday’s contest with a 20-14 record after defeating the Orlando Magic at home on Monday night.

Jamal Shead led the way for the Raptors in Monday’s victory as he ended the game with 19 points, four rebounds and five assists off the bench while Brandon Ingram recorded 17 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Wednesday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

For the Nuggets, they have five players listed on their injury report, including four of their starters.

Denver has ruled out Jokic due to left knee injury management as he is expected to miss at least four weeks after hyperextending his left knee in Monday’s loss.

With Jokic sidelined, Jonas Valanciunas and Zeke Nnaji could be in line for increased roles moving forward.

The Nuggets have also ruled out Aaron Gordon as he continues to recover from a right hamstring strain while Cameron Johnson remains sidelined due to right knee injury management.

Christian Braun has also been ruled out as he continues to recover from a left ankle sprain and Julian Strawther has been listed as probable and is expected to play despite dealing with an illness.

Raptors Injury Report, Will RJ Barrett, Jakob Poeltl Play?

On the other side, the Raptors have only one player listed on their injury report as they have ruled out center Jakob Poeltl.

Toronto has ruled out Poeltl due to a back injury as he will miss his fifth consecutive contest and he is expected to be out at least one more week.

With Poeltl sidelined, Sandro Mamukelashvili will likely draw another start in his place while Mo Bamba and Collin Murray-Boyles could both have increased roles.

The good news for the Raptors is that RJ Barrett is off their injury report and will play after sitting out Monday’s game due to injury management.
