Report: Liverpool star offers contract hint to Richard Hughes

Those who are being mooted for a new Liverpool contract, alongside those who aren't are creating unavoidable headlines, and the club needs to take control of the situation quickly.

Ibrahima Konate's deal runs out at the end of the season, which has caused a lot of speculation over his future already and Andy Robertson might also slip out the back door if he isn't given an extension.

But while those two storylines are unfolding, it's been released that Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch are next in the queue for negotiations to reward the past few years.

However, the midfield pack - outside of Florian Wirtz - only really has one other big name in it, and it's impossible to not consider what he's done wrong to not be included in the talks for extensions.

One of the players' teammates has come out and addressed the looming issue for Liverpool to solve.

Gravenberch cannot praise Jones enough

In an interview with the club, the Dutchman was full of admiration for his teammate Curtis Jones.

He said: "I know Curtis. He loves to take the ball and dribble from the back. He's really comfortable and he almost never loses the ball. It's really nice to play with him and it gives you more confidence to bring the ball forward."

We can presume that his words come from a place of enjoying having the Englishman as his partner in Arne Slot's midfield double-pivot, and the relationship between the pair is the best it's ever been.

On occasion, we've seen Jones drift forwards and Gravenberch stay back, while on others, it's been the other way around. Neither can be really defined as the defensive midfielder or the central midfielder, it's a mixture of both roles within each of their personal responsibilities for the team.
