Liverpool transfer news LIVE: Joel Ordonez race, Antoine Semenyo done, Mohamed Salah claim

Liverpool is now able to add more players to its roster because the January transfer window is open, and already there has been plenty of speculation about who could be targeted.

Antoine Semenyo, who has an $88 million (£65 million) release clause that can be activated from today until January 10, has been put forward as one option for Arne Slot.

It was suggested last week that Semenyo was heading to Manchester City, but the Daily Mail reported over the weekend that Liverpool could still be in contention. It seems he will be heading for the Etihad Stadium.

Elsewhere, signing a center-back would be a good idea, and Marc Guehi is the obvious target. However, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner is keen to keep his captain, even if that means getting a fee.

Club Brugge center-back Joel Ordonez is also said to be on Liverpool's radar along with the likes of Chelsea and Inter Milan. He is valued at around $47 million (£35 million).
