Here is the latest Liverpool news and transfer update as reports claim Liverpool have been told to launch a bold move for Gunners star defender Jurrien Timber to help solve their defensive issues this season.
Timber has established himself as a key part of Mikel Arteta’s fragile defence, playing at both right-back and centre-back, to help the Arsenal’ cement themselves as Premier League title favourites.
LIVERPOOL, the reigning champions, meanwhile have struggled for consistency all season, especially at the back having already shipped 26 goals in 18 games. Captain Virgil van Dijk appears a shadow of his former self, while Trent Alexander-Arnold’s exit continues to be keenly felt.
That has led to all sorts of speculation and rumours in the media which have claimed that LIVERPOOL will once again delve into that transfer kitty and add some more players to the side, with a defender and attacker possibly on the agenda for boss Arne Slot.

And Timber has been highlighted as an answer to Liverpool’s defensive woes, and the Reds have now been told to make a move and sign the Dutchman: “When I look at the defence and who Liverpool should sign, personally I think they need a centre-back and a right back,” Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock told Aceodds.
WILL TIMBER LEAVE FOR LIVERPOOL?
Look, Timber is very happy at Arsenal, he is part of a solid squad that could win that Premier League title, so unless something stunning happens this transfer window, he will not be a player that ends up at Liverpool.
We will probably not see any exits from Arsenal this transfer window, they will look to add to the side and that is that.
