McAtee has struggled this season. He featured regularly for Manchester City last season and then captained England’s U21 side to Euros glory last summer, but since making the move to Nottingham Forest, he has made just one start in the league. He is one of many players to have suffered from the upheaval at the club this season.
McAtee has been linked with a move to CHELSEA in recent days, and he is a player known to many who work within the BlueCo project, due to the time that he spent at formative club Manchester City
BBC Sport report that BlueCo could send McAtee on loan to sister club Strasbourg ahead of a future move to Chelsea. Enzo Maresca previously worked with McAtee while at Chelsea.
Will Forest want to sell McAtee?
McAtee is a player with alot of potential and Pep Guardiola did not want to see the player leave, and despite his struggles, Forest believe in his ability and do not want to let him leave on a permanent basis.
However – with the club struggling, the right offer could actually see McAtee leave the club on a permanent basis and not just on loan for the remainder of this season.
Would Chelsea Be A Good Move?
Chelsea like to sign some of the games best and most talented players, but they have a massive squad, but if McAtee is struggling to get into that Forest side, he wouldnt even make the bench at Chelsea.
The Blues wants instant success and if the players arent good enough to make an immediate impact, time on the bench is something that will happen to players like McAtee.
