The January transfer window is open as Liverpool look to bolster their squad for the remainder of the campaign and beyond
Liverpool are in ‘constant contact’ with the representatives of Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga but the Frenchman is not thinking about leaving the Spanish capital this month.
The Reds are in the market for some reinforcements in January after a disappointing run of form during the autumn that has all-but ended their hopes of retaining the Premier League title.
Liverpool’s main priorities right now include a short-term replacement for Alexander Isak while he is injured, plus a solid new centre-back to eventually fully succeed Virgil van Dijk.
Arne Slot does not look like he will be getting his man, however. According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool hold ‘genuine interest’ in the midfielder and are in contact with his camp.

Liverpool lack an out-and-out defensive midfielder with Ryan Gravenberch shining in the position since Slot’s arrival at the club. The Dutchman is the only player who can excel in the position and adding another number six must be addressed in the coming windows.
