Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham need to break the bank to sign 19-year-old…

RB Leipzig have distanced themselves from suggestions of a £50 million price tag on Yan Diomande amid heavy interest from Premier League clubs.

According to TEAMtalk, Yan Diomande will cost much more than £50 million, with RB Leipzig distancing themselves from that specific price point. Despite reports stating they could accept a fee in that range, the Bundesliga outfit will demand significantly more amid heavy Premier League interest.

Yan Diomande is steadily emerging as a big attacking prospect in the market, as multiple Premier League sides are interested. Leipzig signed the Ivorian winger from Leganes over in the summer, and he has proven to be an instant hit, with interest garnering from many months ago from top suitors.

There were suggestions that Diomande could be available for a fee in the region of £50 million or more, but RB Leipzig have quickly distanced themselves from those suggestions. There is a feeling that the German giants will demand significantly more for the 19-year-old prodigy should some of those big teams come in with an approach in January.

Manchester United are interested in Yan Diomande as a potential option, having missed out on Antoine Semenyo, who seems destined to join rivals Manchester City. The Red Devils are keeping tabs on the Ivory Coast international, but they may not fork out a premium price given the level of investment they need in other areas of the pitch.

Tottenham were also linked with Diomande, and they remain a concrete option for the player should he make a switch out of Leipzig in January. Spurs are in the process of selling Brennan Johnson to Crystal Palace, which opens the possibility of a new winger arrival this month.

Yan Diomande to leave RB Leipzig?

Arsenal and Liverpool are also in the mix, which does make the race for Diomande quite intriguing. Leipzig are in a strong position to extract good value out of the Ivorian winger’s potential sale, but ideally, they might prefer to keep him at least until the summer.

The Gunners and Liverpool do bring the element of top-tier sides being in the race, which could give Leipzig plenty of leverage to demand significantly. They are certainly not interested in selling the young Ivorian attacker for the £50 million price point mentioned, as the club are eager to position Diomande as a top-notch talent in the market.
