Liverpool were forced to settle for a point in a draw with Leeds United at Anfield. Neither the Reds nor Leeds could get on the score sheet in a goalless stalemate in the Premier League on New Year’s Day.
Arne Slot’s side had gone into the game in fourth place in the Premier League and looked to capitalise on the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Aston Villa dropping points in recent days.
Leeds had a goal disallowed from former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with the effort ruled out for offside late in the second half.
Liverpool will now prepare for yet more Premier League action on the horizon, with an away trip to Fulham to come at the weekend.
