Reading boss Leam Richardson has provided an update on Manchester City loanee Finley Burns' future.
Finley Burns started for Reading FC in a second consecutive league game as the Royals swept aside Burton Albion at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Thursday.
A report by the Daily Mail's Jack Gaughun earlier this week stated that Manchester City were set on recalling the centre-half as a result of Burns falling down 'Reading’s pecking order'.
When Reading boss Leam Richardson was asked about the reports, he stated that he had heard nothing official from the club.
He said: "Heard nothing at all, no.
"Me and Finley spoke as soon as we came in, it's an important part of what we do.
"We're not in control of other people's players, but as you can see, being on the pitch the last couple of games, clean sheet, performances are excellent.
"So, I'm sure Finn's enjoying it and I'm enjoying Finn at the minute."
Finley Burns signed for Reading on a season-long loan in the summer and has made 17 appearances for the Royals.
Burns picked up an injury earlier in the season and didn't make an appearance for Reading from October 18 as he was benched the following game. The City loanee returned to the bench at the end of November against Blackpool and played his first minutes (four to be exact) for Richardson in Reading's 3-2 win over Luton.
Richardson then brought him on for 17 minutes during the 4-1 win over Plymouth as Derrick Williams picked up an injury. He has since been included in the starting line-up playing full minutes against Peterborough and Burton Albion.
