Injuries continue as a focal point of concern for the Denver Nuggets. And on their upcoming matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers, they are set to miss a crucial piece already.

On the team's injury report, Jonas Valanciunas won't play against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to right calf strain. He sustained the injury in the third quarter of the Nuggets' recent win over the Toronto Raptors and didn't return.

Meanwhile, Jamal Murray has been listed as probable because of a right ankle sprain, along with Julian Strwather, who is dealing with an illness.

The Nuggets have been severely shorthanded due to the significant absences of Nikola Jokic (knee), Cam Johnson (knee), Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Christian Braun (ankle).

Nuggets reserves such as Peyton Watson, Tim Hardaway Jr., Bruce Brown, Spencer Jones, DaRon Holmes and Zeke Nnaji are all expected to step up moving forward.
