The Oklahoma City Thunder may look like the best team in the NBA, but they have shown one hole in their armor. That weakness has been Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.
To no surprise, Webanyama has the Spurs as one of the best teams in the league. On New Year’s Eve, the Spurs took down the New York Knicks in an offensive classic with a final score of 134-132.

However, not everything went according to plan in the win. Wembanyma went down with what appeared to be a knee injury, making every Spurs fan hold their breath.

Victor Wembanyama's MRI today came back clean, no ligament damage. He didn't make the trip to Indianapolis so he can get more care here in San Antonio. He'll likely be listed questionable for Saturday against Portland, per source.

Wright also shared that Wembanyama will likely be listed as questionable when the Spurs take on the Portland Trail Blazers this Saturday.
That means no one should expect him in action on Friday when the Spurs take on the Indiana Pacers.

This season, Wembanyama is clearly taking the next step into becoming an NBA phenom. The Spurs star is currently averaging 24 pts, 11 rebounds, and three assists per game.
