Duren rolled his ankle in the final minutes of the first half and entered the locker room. He rejoined the Pistons in the second half, but only played three minutes as the team announced he wouldn't be available to return.
The star center finished the night with 12 points, five rebounds and one steal across 18 minutes. Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed obtained increased minutes with Duren's untimely inactivity.
Entering the New Year's Day showdown against the Heat, Duren is averaging career-bests 18.1 points and 10.8 rebounds in 30 games.
