All the early injury news surrounding Arsenal and AFC Bournemouth as they prepare to face off in the Premier League,
Bournemouth have had a disappointing last few weeks, sliding to 15th in the table, although they don’t look likely to be involved in a relegation scrap. Here we round up all the latest injury news surrounding both teams going into this one.
Ryan Christie - Doubt
Christie is a fresh concern with a knee issue. He will go down as a doubt for now.
Lewis Cook - Doubt
Cook is also a doubt, although he has a kneck injury. He should be in contention here.
Ben Doak - Out
Doak is out until at least February, with Iraola confirming in late November: “Ben has a hamstring injury, it's a bad one, and he will be out for some time. Today, we had a consult with a surgeon to see if it’s something that has to go through surgery, or we could go more conservative. Ben will be out for some months, which is really bad news.”
Veljko Milosavljevic - Out
Milosavljevic is out until February, also with a knee injury. Iraola said at the time of the setback: “It's not a big injury. I think he has been lucky, because the ACL, MCL, everything is intact, but he has a small injury behind the knee, affecting the capsule.”
Tyler Adams - Out
Another knee injury, Adams is out until late February. Iraola said at the time: “Tyler is injured. He has torn his MCL. So he will be out, definitely out for some time. An optimistic two months, pessimistic three, something like this.”
Matai Akimboni - Out
Akinmboni has been out for some time, and there has been no update since Iraola said in November: “The only one we could say is Matai Akinmboni, that is normally trains with us, plays with the development squad, but has had a muscle injury again and he's recovering.”
Declan Rice - Doubt
Arteta has said: “I think so, if that swelling comes down in the next few days, he will be in a better place. But the good thing is, without a lot of players, the team is able to perform in that way...” Rice has a chance of returning.
Riccardo Calafiori - Doubt
Arteta said after the Villa game: “It's something that he felt yesterday, something very awkward that happened, and today in the warm-up he wasn't comfortable.” Calafiori could return here, but he faces a race against time.
Max Dowman - Out
Dowman is going to miss some time, with Arteta confirming: “Yes, so first of all, unfortunately, Max [Dowman] picked up an injury last weekend and had to come off. So he did some scans and he is going to be out for weeks.”
Cristhian Mosquera - Out
Arteta confirmed after the Villa game: “He's going to be out for weeks unfortunately, it's much more than what we expected. But the player was feeling it, so he's going to be out for weeks.”
