Guerschon Yabusele speaks up about potential trade to leave Knicks

Per reports, the Knicks are now willing to move on from the French forward.

Guerschon Yabusele is steadfast in controlling only what he can control amid the challenging season and situation he's having with the New York Knicks.

In a translated statement he offered to Maxime Aubin of L'Équipe, the French forward addressed the possibility that would be dealt before the Feb. 5 trade deadline.

“I’m just like you, I don’t know anything about it," he said. "As I’ve said, I’m trying not to complain too much about my situation anymore, to make do with what I’ve got, to give everything on the court.

"And when I need to be informed (about a potential trade), I’ll be informed.”

After he enjoyed his NBA comeback last year with the Philadelphia 76ers, Yabusele joined the Knicks last offseason via a two-year, $11.7 million contract.

Unfortunately, what he hoped for upon joining New York didn't ultimately work out. He hasn't been a part of Mike Brown's rotation, averaging low numbers of 3.1 points and 2.1 rebounds in 9.8 minutes across 28 games.

The Knicks are reportedly open now on trading Yabusele, and everyone can only anticipate what might be the next stop for the 30-year-old in the NBA.
