The January transfer window has been open for less than 48 hours, but there is already a lot of news coming out of Liverpool.
James Norris has left Liverpool permanently, signing for Irish side Shelbourne for an undisclosed transfer fee.
Their first signing of the winter window appears to be nearing as well, with Joel Ordonez picking Liverpool amid interest from Chelsea.

Elsewhere, the Reds are looking at Koln’s Said El Mala with a view to bringing in a new forward in 2026.
But one attacker who seemingly won’t be joining the current Premier League champions anytime soon is Antoine Semenyo.
Liverpool target Antoine Semenyo close to Manchester City transfer
Liverpool were viewed as frontrunners for Semenyo ahead of Manchester United back in November.
The winger has a release clause which is now thought to be active following the opening of the January transfer window.

With January approaching, Manchester City interest in Semenyo then emerged, with it claimed the Sky Blues were his preferred destination.
Now, journalist Alex Crook, along with Ben Jacobs, reports that the Bournemouth ace is close to agreeing a deal with City.
Taking to X/Twitter, Crook wrote: “Semenyo move from AFCB to MCFC pretty much done now. Deal agreed in principle and contracts being drafted by the two clubs. With @JacobsBen”.
Pep Guardiola called Semenyo ‘extraordinary’ in October, and the Spanish coach now looks set to work closely with the Liverpool target in the second half of the season.

Liverpool told Antoine Semenyo stance is ‘stupid’
For some time, it seemed like Liverpool were the frontrunners to get the Bournemouth star.
A move did make a lot of sense given Mohamed Salah’s future is up in the air beyond 2026, and Federico Chiesa is the only other natural right-wing cover.
But the Reds are now seemingly set to lose out on the attacker to a Premier League rival, with Jermaine Pennant shocked that Semenyo isn’t joining his former side.
He said: “As a Liverpool fan, I am really disappointed on the back of Isak getting injured, Salah being at AFCON and we don’t know what is going to happen with him, is he going to be leaving?
“For £65m, in this day and age and for a player of Antoine Semenyo’s quality, you would say it’s a bargain.
“As for Liverpool not to be interested or make an approach to Bournemouth, it’s really stupid. He could be a player who could replace Salah long term as well.”
