Here is the latest Chelsea news regarding the appointment of their next boss as Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola did not want to be drawn into rumours linking him to the vacant job at Stamford Bridge.
CHELSEA announced in a New Year’s Day statement that they had parted company with the Italian manager, with reports claiming Maresca had several disagreements with the Chelsea medical department about the fitness and availability of players during his time at the club
Chelsea were considering making a change because of poor recent results, comments made by Maresca in the media, disagreements with the club’s medical department and reports linking their head coach with other clubs.
It is no secret that Strasbourg boss Liam Rosenior is the favourite to take over at Chelsea in the coming days, but it has also been claimed that Bournemouth is a boss that the Blues board have spoken with.
The Daily Mail reporting that Cherries boss Androni Iraola is also a candidate on Chelsea’s list.
Iraola has done a hugely impressive job at Bournemouth, working well with a limited budget to play an attractive brand of football with some talented young players.
However, Iraola admits he is focused on turning round Bournemouth’s form – with the club currently on a ten-match winless run.
“I am very happy here,” said Iraola. “My issue is not about these things, it’s about solving a little bit, wanting to improve the situation right now in this run.
“We still have a decent amount of points but in a situation where it’s costing us to win games, drawing a lot of games. This is my worry, this is what my focus is on.”

CHELSEA need to make sure that the next boss that comes to the club can command respect from the squad, has the ability to influence the game from the bench and is able to work with top players, Iraloa could do that.
He probably will not make the move to Stamford Bridge, but he would be a quality replacement for Enzo Maresca that is for sure guys.
