Wonderkid to sign for Liverpool for 'several million euros' after 'many offers'

Liverpool have agreed to sign a European teenager ahead of the summer, reports suggest.

According to Austrian outlet Kurier, Austria Vienna centre-back Ifeanyi Ndukwe is on the verge of joining the Reds. The Athletic also suggests that Arne Slot’s side are in talks to sign the 17-year-old. However, a move will have to wait until the summer because of rules relating to Brexit. He does not turn 18 until March.

Kurier claims that Liverpool will have to pay ‘several million euros’ for the youngster. He is expected to develop with Vienna’s first team for the rest of the 2025-26 season. Inter Milan reportedly sent scouts to watch Ndukwe and they made an offer. Several bids were tabled but he has chosen Liverpool. The Austrian outlet claims that Ndukwe has already ‘decided on his future and signed a contract starting next season’ although The Athletic suggests that the deal is not that far down the line.
