Liverpool have been tentatively linked with a move for Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton.
RTK exclusively shared in September that Liverpool could enter the Wharton and Carlos Baleba race in 2026 with the view of making a big midfield signing.
Manchester United have since been linked to the Englishman, but speculation around the Merseyside outfit making a move has remained.

It was claimed in December that ‘Wharton certainly has his admirers at Anfield and he could be one to watch for the summer’.
But Steven Gerrard is of the opinion that Liverpool have already let go of one player he’d take over the 21-year-old.
Steven Gerrard would take Jordan Henderson over Adam Wharton
Jordan Henderson was sold to Al-Ettifaq in 2023 by Liverpool, before a brief spell with Ajax.
He’s since returned to the Premier League with Brentford and has shone with the Bees across 2025/26.

Now, speaking to TNT Sports along with fellow ex-Red Steve McManaman, Gerrard said he would take Henderson over the aforementioned Wharton.
“Unfortunately, I would take Jordan in front of Wharton, because he’s young, and he hasn’t experienced, I think he will be a great player in the future, but I don’t know if it will be a few years before…” McManaman started.”
“So would you take Jordan Henderson over Adam Wharton?” The host asked.
“As of today, yeah,” Gerrard added.

Jordan Henderson among Premier League’s top players
Liverpool are having issues in midfield right now, with Curtis Jones struggling against Leeds United this week.
However, their former captain is thriving at Brentford, and Troy Deeney even ranked Henderson as the sixth-best Premier League player of the season in November.
Deeney said: “Number six, Jordan Henderson is the signing of the season freebie, he’s done well for Brentford.
“Henderson came in from Ajax, where he wasn’t great, it was considered a dodgy move, he’s done really well in there. He’s going to the World Cup at his age, in my opinion, that’s more impressive than Caicedo.”
The 35-year-old has one goal and three assists in 16 league matches so far this term.
