Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo has been a mainstay on the team’s roster for many seasons, and it appears that the Heat have no interest in moving him.
NBA analyst Zach Lowe recently shared some thoughts on Miami, and he reported that other teams that have asked about Adebayo have been told “hell no.”
The Miami Heat have told teams ‘HELL NO’ when they ask to include Bam in trades per @ZachLowe_NBA 👀
“Would they ever include Bam in a package to clear their books and pivot to a younger direction? Other teams I know have for sure asked about Bam and have been told ‘Hell no’. As… pic.twitter.com/BOdqoLGMZc

Adebayo was the No. 14 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, and he reached the NBA Finals multiple times with the Heat during the Jimmy Butler era.
Butler is now in Golden State. Adebayo has become the leader of the franchise, and he has finished in the top 10 in the league’s Defensive Player of the Year voting in each of the last six seasons.
Adebayo has also made transformations to his offensive game, improving as a 3-point shooter in recent seasons. This season, the star big man is shooting 32.1 percent from 3 while attempting a career-high 4.2 3s per game.
It’s hard to envision a scenario where the Heat trade Adebayo, especially since he’s such a great defender and could fit seamlessly with just about any star player that the franchise wants to pursue in the future.
Plus, the Heat are firmly in the mix for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference this season. Miami earned the No. 8 seed last season by way of the play-in tournament, and the Heat currently hold the No. 7 seed in the East and have won four games in a row, including an upset win over the No. 1-seeded Detroit Pistons on Thursday night.
Adebayo is averaging 17.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.0 steal and 0.8 blocks per game this season.
It seems like the Heat don’t have any plans to move on from the three-time All-Star, and he is under contract with the team through the 2027-28 season and has a player option for the 2028-29 season.
Heat fans should expect Adebayo to spend his prime in South Beach considering all he’s done for the franchise.
