Key players listed on Pelicans’ injury report ahead of Blazers matchup at home

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Pelicans are on a five-game losing streak, and it appears they’ll be shorthanded tonight when they host the Portland Trailblazers.

Both Derik Queen (left quad) and Saddiq Bey (right hip flexor) are listed as out.

Trey Murphy III (lower back) is listed as questionable.

Herb Jones continues to remain out with an ankle injury, making three recent players in the starting five unavailable against the Blazers.

Jose Alvarado will return after serving a two-game suspension for a fight that occurred in the Dec. 27 loss to Phoenix.

The shorthanded Pelicans will have to find a way to provide an extra lift outside of Zion Williamson, who’s been on a personal hot streak as of late.

In the last five games, Williamson is averaging 26.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists.

Coverage for tonight’s game begins at 6:30 on the Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment Network.
