Warriors open to moving young starter in trade, per report

The Golden State Warriors are reportedly open to trading 23-year-old wing Moses Moody, who's averaging 10.8 points this season, as they seek a playoff-ready upgrade.

The Golden State Warriors are now open to trading wing Moses Moody ahead of the February 5 deadline in pursuit of an upgrade at his position, according to Evan Sidery of Forbes.

Previously, the team had been reluctant to move Moody, but it seems Golden State's young core could be available for a game-changing deal, per the same report.

At 18-16, the Warriors are fully committed to making another playoff push while they still can.

So far this season, Moody is averaging 10.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 32 games, including 21 starts, playing 24.6 minutes per game.

The 23-year-old was the 14th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and played college basketball for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
