According to the rumors, five Liverpool stars might never play under Slot ever again. The Reds squad went through a massive change last summer. However, there are still six players at Anfield who might never play for the club again. Arne Slot took over from legendary boss Jurgen Klopp in 2024 and looks set to move on several of Klopp’s favorites. All the five players’ time at the club is coming to an end unless some miracle happens in the upcoming weeks. It would be interesting to see what Slot decides next.
There are some prominent names to leave the club in the upcoming transfer windows. One of them is the Liverpool’s Egyptian king, Mo Salah. The same player who has countless memories at Anfield and scored so many goals for the club is on the verge of leaving. Of course, it would take an enormous transfer fee, and the idea of the Egyptian leaving just months ago would’ve been laughed at. However, his public fallout with Arne Slot in December has grown doubt over his long-term future with the English club. Although according to the rumors Salah has apologized to the coach before leaving for AFCON, an official statement is yet to come. Like Salah Elloit might leave the club too. It looked like Harvey Elliott had played his final game for the Reds after sealing a loan move to Aston Villa in the summer transfer window. That deal even included an obligation to buy the player. Eyebrows rose when Liverpool splashed £16 million on Stuttgart midfielder Wataru Endo in 2023. He’s not been used as frequently since the change in management and looks to be behind Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Dominic Szoboszlai, and Curtis Jones.

Two players whose time might be ticking under Slot at Liverpool
Stefan Bajcetic is one of the two players who is not under Slot’s plans. Big things were expected of Stefan Bajcetic when he burst onto the scene during Liverpool’s disappointing 2022-23 season under Klopp. The Spaniard used to be a center-back but proved he could hold the central defensive midfielder role. Loan moves to RB Salzburg and Las Palmas have prevented the youngster from playing under Slot so far, and that doesn’t look likely to change any time soon. When the new boss first came, fans were excited to see more of the former Celta Vigo youth player. He has been out with a serious hamstring injury for a number of months now. Another player who’s in the same condition is Kostas Tsimikas. One of Salah’s closest friends at Anfield, Kostas Tsimikas, departed in the summer to join the Italian giants AS Roma on a season-long loan. The Greek left-back had been a willing and reliable back-up to Andy Robertson ever since joining the club in 2021. Although the arrival of Milos Kerkez knocked him further down the pecking order. Slot will give his decisions in the upcoming weeks.
Fan’s reaction
The fans are a bit nervous regarding the matter with the transfers. The Reds’ fans are mostly concerned with the departure of Mo. Salah. Many fans believe the club should resolve Salah’s situation soon so that the player can continue at the club. Whereas some believe it’s finally the time to bring in new talent. Social media is full of debates regarding the matter with Arne Slot.
