Spurs suffer brutal blow with Devin Vassell's adductor injury

Per the Spurs' announcement, Vassell will be out indefinitely after suffering from a left adductor strain.

The San Antonio Spurs are in an alarming situation with Devin Vassell.

The team announced that Vassell underwent an MRI in which he sustained a left adductor strain. He will be out indefinitely and the Spurs will provide significant updates if available.

Vassell sustained the injury during the Spurs' 113-101 Sunday loss to the Cavaliers. He didn't play in the team's 134-132 New Year's Eve win over the New York Knicks and was also made unavailable on their upcoming road matchup against the Indiana Pacers.

In 32 games, Vassell is averaging 15.0 points, 4.0 boards and 2.4 assists.

With Vassell out on an indefinite basis, San Antonio will look more to the production of Keldon Johnson and Julian Champagnie.
