Two weeks after he was announced significantly inactive, Zubac (ankle) will make an early injury return for the Clippers.
In a surprisingly quick development, the Los Angeles Clippers are set to welcome the return of Ivica Zubac.
According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Zubac (Grade 2 left ankle sprain) has been made available by the Clippers for Saturday's home game against the Boston Celtics.
This serves a speedy recovery for the big man. Two weeks ago, the Clippers announced that the big man would miss several weeks due to his ankle injury.
He originally sustained last Dec. 20 against the Los Angeles Lakers, eventually missing five consecutive games.
Despite Zubac's absence, the Clippers have remained competitive. They are currently holding a six-game win skid entering the weekend matchup against Boston, improving to 12-21. Brook Lopez played well as the team's temporary starting center, while both Kawhi Leonard and James Harden have taken the lead for the group.
Zubac is averaging 15.6 points and 11.1 boards this 2025-26. His looming return would be tremendous for the Clips' ongoing red-hot run after a poor season start.
